End-of-life care is what many use to describe the personal and medical support and care given to patients nearing the end of their lives. Opening up the channels to discuss end-of-life care helps make the unfamiliar more comfortable. This webinar will help you to better understand the issues facing patients, caregivers, and healthcare workers, when nearing the end of life. The goal of end-of-life care is to help make patients more comfortable and relieve any suffering. Melissa Stewart, MSW, LCSW worked as a clinical social worker in pediatric care helping to provide familial support to patients awaiting a heart or kidney transplant, in addition to working as a clinical social worker in Hospice care. Her experience has led her to be a valuable resource in providing end-of-life care and support to patients and families.
