Alice Crisci is a social entrepreneur, published author and young adult cancer advocate. She is the founder of Fertile Action, a non-profit that helps reproductive-aged women touched by cancer become mothers. Her second book “How to Build an Oncofertility Program: the Niche Marketing Guide for Reproductive Professionals” will be published in 2013. She is also a regular columnist on Hypervocal.com and the HuffingtonPost.com in addition to traveling the country as a fertility preservation spokeswoman for the California Cryobank.
Within weeks of her own breast cancer diagnosis at 31-years-old, Alice harvested her eggs to protect her opportunity to become a mom after surviving cancer, had a nude photography session to remember her the body she was born with, launched Fertile Action and published her first book, Too Young for This. Her processing choices of a cancer diagnosis as a young adult are chronicled in her book and hailed by others as a must read for loved ones of those touched by cancer.
She is also the founder of Visionary Endeavors, Inc, an inspiring consumer products company for women that is also home to the My Vision PhotoTherapy Program for breast cancer patients. During chemotherapy, Alice built the My Vision brand using the iconic V to symbolize Vision, Victory and Vitality. Placing the V or patterns of the V on everyday consumer products give women daily touchstones to remind themselves they have the right to live the life they imagine.
Prior to her social entrepreneurship pursuits, Alice was a seasoned management consultant who improved bottom lines for fast-growth companies. Her business and sales approach has been implemented by over 100 companies across 19 vertical markets including Strategic Counsel (headed by Cynthia McClain-Hill, Past President of National Association of Women Business Owners), DualStar Entertainment (headed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), Beanstalk (headed by the legendary Michael Stone, a pioneer in the licensing industry) and Unfair Advantage, a revenue acceleration consulting firm sold to the oldest direct selling company in the United States.
Alice was appointed a member of the prestigious Advisory Council for Young Women and Breast Cancer, named by Lifetime Networks “Remarkable Woman – Unsung Hero”, was awarded a Courage Award from Assemblymember Ted Lieu, named Fabulous Female of Los Angeles, named a Wego Health Advocate Finalist, and has been featured on The Today Show in three countries, Nightline, The Doctors, numerous print and online publications and Women’s Health magazine.
