Speakers Bureau

Through Triage Cancer’s Speakers Bureau, cancer centers, hospitals, cancer organizations, and other groups that are coordinating educational events or cancer conferences can be connected with expert speakers on various cancer survivorship issues.

Triage Cancer's Speakers Bureau also includes cancer survivors and caregivers who have experience sharing their cancer journey with a variety of audiences. If you are planning an event, it is a good idea to request speakers as early as possible. Some of our speakers are often booked months in advance.

Below you can learn more about each speaker, sort speakers by particular areas of expertise, request a speaker directly, and read about potential topics that you may want to include in your next event!

Imagine being told you will never be able to have children because you have cancer.  Kommah McDowell, diagnosed at age 29 in 2005, with only a 5% chance to live is now a 7 year survivor of Triple Negative Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) married with a 3 year old son and she is the founder and Executive Director of the Kommah Seray Inflammatory Breast Cancer Foundation (KSIBCF).  With her Bachelor of Art for the University of California, Davis in English and a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne, Kommah designed an organization that offers direct assistance to cancer patients in treatment and raises awareness of the most aggressive, yet least talked about type of breast cancer, IBC.

As a survivor, she helps provide resources and assistance to cancer patients in treatment for any type of cancer by covering the cost of prescriptions, co-payments, utility bills, housing cost and more.  Lastly, as a national patient speaker and community research partner with City of Hope, she is truly passionate about introducing the world to IBC.
