Social workers and nurses in attendance will walk away with a better understanding of Medicare as a health insurance option for their patients. Furthermore, social workers and nurses are often called upon to help their patients navigate making health insurance-related decisions, as well as navigating the appeals process and financial assistance options. This webinar will provide social workers, nurses, and other types of health care professionals with a foundation to help patients make those decisions and provide appropriate referrals. All attendees will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions in real time via a chat-box.

This continuing nursing education activity is approved by the Oncology Nursing Society, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s COA. (Program #XYZ is approved for up to 1 contact hour).
Triage Cancer, [provider number], is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Triage Cancer maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: [dates]. Social workers completing this course receive 1 continuing education credit.
In order to receive CE/Contact Hours, attendees must register individually. Participants who “listen in” on another participant’s phone/computer will not be eligible for credit. Participants must attend the entire webinar, no partial credit will be given.
Participants will be emailed a link to the online evaluation and post-test one hour after the completion of the webinar and will have one week to complete both. Participants must receive a passing grade (80%) on the post-test to receive CE/Contact Hours. Participants who do not pass the post-test will be given one opportunity to re-take the test. Instructions and a link to re-take the exam will be emailed to every participant who does not receive a passing grade on the post-test. If participants do not pass the post-test on the second attempt they will not receive credit.
The relevant certificates will be emailed to eligible attendees within 4 weeks of the event.
