Accreditation Information

Triage Cancer is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Nurses who meet the requirements will be awarded up to 6 contact hours.

Triage Cancer, #1689, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Triage Cancer maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 8/26/19 to 8/26/20. Social workers participating in this course will receive up to 6 continuing education credits.

In order to receive CE/contact hour, attendees must physically sign in when they arrive, return a completed evaluation, and sign out when they leave. Certificates will be emailed to eligible attendees within 4 weeks of the event.

Navigating Disability Insurance & Appeals·        Outline how FMLA can be useful to patients

·        Articulate how disability insurance can be useful to someone who can no longer work, temporarily or permanently, as a result of a cancer diagnosis

·        Explain how disability insurance works with other leave laws

Managing Finances & Accessing Financial Assistance Options·        Outline practical tools and tips for rebuilding financial health after a cancer diagnosis

·        Identify financial assistance options available to pay for health care & other expenses
