NCONA Annual Virtual Conference – Patient Navigation: Towards Achieving Cancer Health Equity in the Face of a Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has brought to light the deep inequities in our current model of healthcare. The disproportionately high levels of COVID-19 cases, including hospitalizations and deaths among nonwhite racial groups reflect poorer conditions among these minority groups. There is also an inequitable distribution of health resources. Patient Navigation continues to be a viable option that can help address the fundamental weaknesses of our system and ensure we achieve optimal outcomes.

Susan G. Komen’s 2021 Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) Impact Series will provide people living with metastatic breast cancer and their loved ones a safe, collaborative space to gather information related to MBC and discover practical resources to help make decisions for improved physical and emotional health.

Once you sign up for the 2021 MBC Impact Series, you will be automatically enrolled for all the sessions.

The FREE series will begin in April and continue monthly through December 2021. During each month’s event, you can participate in live sessions with leading experts, hear from individuals living with MBC and gather information from wellness experts.

Health insurance is an important piece of the employment conversation. This webinar will provide attendees with information about existing health insurance options as well as the changes in healthcare brought about by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), including new consumer protections and health insurance options, and how these changes might affect cancer patients.
