Ellen Tenenbaum, Esq.

Triage Cancer Board Member Ellen Tenenbaum is an attorney with over 30 years of experience in the private practice of law, focused on complex, mass tort, and environmental litigation, as well as evaluation of risk from environmental and product liability issues in the context of various corporate, financing and real estate transactions. Her legal practice has included a substantial focus on expert issues and scientific research associated with cancer; she has worked closely with several cancer researchers seeking to understand the mechanisms of cancer causation, development, progression and treatment, in the areas of genetics, genomics, pathology, and toxicology. After recently retiring from McDermott Will & Emery LLP, Ms. Tenenbaum acts as a consultant to Apple Inc. on litigation management issues.

Ms. Tenenbaum earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a B.A. in History and Voice Performance from the University of Maryland. During her years in private practice, Ms. Tenenbaum co-chaired her law firm’s Gender Diversity Committee, and led numerous initiatives involving compensation parity, mentoring, and career development.
