Join us for a FREE live, interactive, webinar as part of the Triage Cancer Webinar Series, which will explore many different aspects of housing. Attendees will learn about the laws the protect renters and home buyers, the legal and financial resources for renters and home buyers, and how to avoid the common pitfalls the can lead to housing loss.

Social workers and nurses in attendance will walk away with a better understanding of the laws that protect renters and home buyers.  This webinar will explore the laws that empower buyers and renters and how to recognize and report the common pitfalls that can lead to loss of housing. This webinar will provide social workers, nurses, and other types of health care professionals with a foundation to help patients make decisions about housing and provide appropriate referrals. All attendees will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions in real time via a chat-box.

ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

Nurses:  Triage Cancer is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Nurses who meet the requirements will be awarded 1.5 contact hours.

90 minutes of instruction/60 minutes = 1.5 contact hours

Social Workers: Triage Cancer, #1689, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Triage Cancer maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 08/26/2020 to 08/26/2023. Social workers completing this course receive 1.5 continuing education credits.

Triage Cancer is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0626. Social Workers completing this course will receive 1.5 contact hours.

In order to receive CE/contact hour, attendees must register individually. Participants who “listen in” on another participant’s phone/computer will not be eligible for credit. Participants must attend the entire webinar, no partial credit will be given.

Participants will be emailed a link to the online evaluation and post-test one hour after the completion of the webinar and will have one week to complete both. Participants must receive a passing grade (80%) on the post-test to receive CE/contact hour. Participants who do not pass the post- test will be given one opportunity to re-take the test. Instructions and a link to re-take the exam will be emailed to every participant who does not receive a passing grade on the post-test. If participants do not pass the post-test on the second attempt they will not receive credit.

The relevant certificates will be emailed to eligible attendees within 4 weeks of the event.
