Insurance & Finance Intensive 201 – Registration

The online Insurance & Finance Intensive 201 is only open to health care professionals and advocates who have previously attended an Insurance & Finance Intensive. If you have not attended a previous Insurance & Finance Intensive, you are not eligible to participate in the Intensive 201. Those interested in attending should complete the application form below. Your registration does not guarantee your acceptance. Registration closes on July 15, 2022, and those accepted will be notified by that date. You must respond to the acceptance email in order to receive the Zoom link and materials.

Accreditation Information

Nurses

Triage Cancer is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Nurses who meet the requirements will be awarded 3.75 contact hours.

225 minutes of instruction/60 minutes = 3.75 contact hours

Social Workers

Triage Cancer, #1689, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Triage Cancer maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 08/26/2020 to 08/26/2023. Social workers completing this course receive 3.75 continuing education credits.

Triage Cancer is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0626. Social Workers completing this course will receive 3.75 contact hours.

This course, Insurance & Finance Intensive 201, Approval #222604-1233, provided by Triage Cancer is approved for continuing education by the New Jersey Social Work Continuing Education Approval Collaborative, which is administered by NASW-NJ. CE Approval Collaborative Approval Period: Thursday, May 19, 2022 through August 31, 2024. New Jersey social workers will receive 3.75 Non-clinical CE credits for participating in this course.

Triage Cancer is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities.

If you would like a general certificate of completion, you must indicate that when completing the Insurance & Finance Intensive 201 evaluation form. You must attend the entire event.

Evaluation forms are emailed after the event and are required for a certificate. You will also receive a post-test, which is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.

Requirements to Receive Credit (all professionals)

Attendance

In order to receive CE/contact hour/PDC, attendees must register individually. Participants who “listen in” on another participant’s phone/computer will not be eligible for credit. Participants must attend the entire event. No partial credit will be given.

Post-test & Evaluation

Participants will be emailed a link to the online evaluation and post-test one day after the completion of the Insurance & Finance Intensive and will have one week to complete both. Participants must receive a passing grade (80%) on the post-test to receive CEs/Contact Hours (please note: this is not required for patient advocates and HR professionals). Participants who do not pass the post-test will be given one opportunity to re-take the test. Instructions and a link to re-take the exam will be emailed to every participant who does not receive a passing grade on the post-test. If participants do not pass the post-test on the second attempt they will not receive credit.

Certificates

The relevant certificates will be emailed to eligible attendees within 4 weeks of the event.

Pre-Requisite for Attending

Those interested in attending the Insurance & Finance Intensive 201 must have attended an Insurance & Finance Intensive in the past. In the registration form, please indicate the Insurance & Finance Intensive date(s) that you attended in the past. Your attendance at a past Insurance & Finance Intensive will be verified upon review of your application.
