07 May Attention Health Care Professionals!
Are you going to be at the Association of Oncology Social Workers (AOSW) Conference May 28-30, 2014? If you are, we wanted to make sure you knew about this great opportunity!
Triage Cancer’s partner, Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), will be hosting a Healthcare Provider Symposium on Tuesday, May 27 from 12pm-5pm at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel in Maryland through its Young Women’s Initiative.
LBBC is dedicated to helping individuals who are living with metastatic breast cancer. Whether they have just been diagnosed or at the end of treatment, LBBC has resources to help individuals, their families, and caregivers through the process of living with, and beyond, breast cancer.
This symposium for healthcare providers will focus on the unique needs of young women affected by breast cancer. You will gain hands-on strategies and resources that will help you work more successfully with young women with breast cancer as well as learning:
- about long-term survivorship issues important to young women
- how to better meet the psychosocial needs of those living with metastatic disease
- how to address your young patients’ fertility, as well as sexuality and intimacy needs
- about Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s programs for young women and other resources available nationally.
Along with gaining valuable resources and tools, continuing education credits are available for licensed social workers and nurses.
Be sure to register online at www.lbbc.org/Events or by calling (855) 807-6386 by May 21.
You do not want to miss out on this amazing opportunity! Also, if you are attending AOSW, be sure to come visit Triage Cancer on Friday either at our booth or during one of our two sessions. We will first be talking about all things Affordable Care Act and then later co-presenting with Cancer and Careers during an employment session. We would love to see you there!
