10 Jun Join Us for a Community Health Worker Training
June 10, 2025 ~ Triage Health, a program of Triage Cancer, is providing a free online community health worker training on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. This 4.5-hour virtual training is open to community health workers (CHWs), promotores, patient navigators, and other frontline public health workers who want to build skills and better serve their communities.
Why Provide a Community Health Worker Training?
Community Health Workers are vital members of the communities they serve. Specifically, they often act as a bridge between individuals and the health care system—especially in underserved areas where access to doctors and hospitals can be limited.
According to the National Institutes of Health, “CHWs offer interpretation and translation services, provide culturally appropriate health education and information, help people get the care they need, give informal counseling and guidance on health behaviors, [and] advocate for individual and community health needs.”
By providing a free training, we aim to strengthen the support systems already in place and empower CHWs to navigate today’s ever-changing health care, insurance, and legal landscapes.
