In 2023, we launched Triage Health, expanding our resources to anyone facing a chronic or serious medical condition, as well as the general public.

Our free programs and resources include:

• Individualized assistance through our Legal & Financial Navigation Program, which helps individuals, caregivers, advocates, and health care professionals understand options and navigate legal, financial, and practical barriers to accessing care.
• Educational materials and tools, including Quick Guides and Checklists, Practical Guides, Charts of State Laws, animated videos, and other resources that can be accessed online. Select materials can also be ordered in bulk by health care professionals and organizations.
• Continuing education for professionals, available at no cost at many of our educational events.
• Online information and resources through TriageCancer.org, TriageHealth.org, our educational blog, How To Triage Health podcast, and CancerFinances.org.

Yes. Much of the information Triage Cancer provides is not specific to a cancer diagnosis. Triage Health provides the same award-winning free education and resources to help individuals diagnosed with a chronic or serious medical condition, caregivers, advocates, and health care professionals navigate legal and practical issues.

Triage Cancer’s Legal & Financial Navigation Program provides free, individualized assistance to individuals diagnosed with cancer or another chronic or serious health condition, caregivers, advocates, and health care professionals. Our trained attorneys provide information and resources on health care-related issues, including health insurance, employment, disability insurance, finances, medical decision-making, estate planning, and more.

Individuals diagnosed with cancer or another chronic or serious health condition, caregivers, advocates, and health care professionals can get free, individualized assistance. There are no income, geographic, or other requirements to using the program.

But if you still have questions, Lane will help you set up an appointment with our Legal & Financial Navigation Program. Be on the lookout for an email response by the end of the next business day.

Triage Cancer focuses on providing education on topics that can impact your finances. Triage Cancer does not provide direct financial assistance. However, we have collected information about organizations that do provide financial assistance. That information is in the Financial Assistance module of our Cancer Finances Toolkit. You can pick a category (e.g., Food, General Living Expenses, Prescription Drugs) to see summaries of programs that provide that type of assistance and their contact information. Think creatively, for example, if you cannot find anything to help with your medical bills, perhaps you can qualify for utility assistance and then shift the money you had budgeted for utilities over to pay your medical bills.

Yes. Many Triage Cancer educational events offer free continuing education for eligible professionals. Continuing education varies by event, so check the individual event page for information about the credit available.

Certificates are emailed to eligible participants within four weeks of the event. If you have not received your certificate after four weeks, email info@triagecancer.org and include the name and date of the event you attended.

Triage Cancer offers continuing education for a variety of professionals, including nurses, social workers, patient advocates, and human resources professionals. Continuing legal education (CLE) is also approved for our Triage Health Conference in California, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, and Texas.
