Free Resources for the Cancer Community

For nearly a decade, Triage Cancer has been providing free resources for the cancer community – including people diagnosed, health care professionals, and caregivers. Since our founding in 2012, we’ve reached more than 2 million people through free educational events, materials, and resources.

Here is a breakdown of the resources that are not only free, but could help you save money and avoid financial toxicity.

Legal & Financial Navigation Program

Triage Cancer has helped more than 850 people in 2021, through the Legal & Financial Navigation Program. During a one-on-one consultation, our experts will explain your options, provide accurate information, and empower you to take next steps. But, if quick and easy is more your style, our expansive library of Quick Guides and Checklists is for you. Learn about disability insurance, employment rights, and more. Many of these resources are also available in Spanish. If you’re a health care professional, now is a great time to stock up (for free) by placing a bulk order! We’ve been updating materials for 2022.

Podcast & Animated Videos

We launched a podcast this year! The How to Triage Cancer Podcast is presented in partnership with ArmorUp for Life. In terms you can understand, each episode breaks down the legal and practical issues that impact the cancer community. Learn more and listen in at triagecancer.org/podcast. And, if you are a visual learner, check out our many animated videos, available in multiple languages. Learn about taking time off and paying for it, managing medical bills, estate planning, Medicare, privacy choices, and more! In 2021 alone, we published 24 new videos, and most are just five minutes long.

More Free Resources for the Cancer Community

We believe that those diagnosed with cancer should spend their time and energy how they choose, free from the stress and worry about what information they need and where to find it. To make it simple, we’ve organized our resources by topic and location, compiled a chart of state laws, and created a list of our partners and the many resources they provide.

How You Can Help

Triage Cancer is a national, nonprofit providing free education to people diagnosed with cancer, caregivers, and health care professionals on cancer-related legal and practical issues. We are funded entirely by grants and generous donations from our community. Please consider investing in our work this holiday season.
